Once again, the Charles City Elks celebrated Flag Day at the Lodge. Several members and guests gathered at the Lodge on Tuesday, June 14 to commemorate the date. Mayor Dean Andrews read the official Flag Day Proclamation, and the special Flag Day ritual was utilized the the officers in attendance. Those assembled sang the National Anthem, recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and listened as “Taps” was played by local high school student Anton Dittmer.
